Paper Submission
Papers are invited for KES2008 on topics lying within the scope of the conference. All contributions must be of high quality, original, should not have been published elsewhere and should not be intended for publication elsewhere during the review period or time of the conference. Contributions from more applied related fields in industry and commerce are very welcome. The conference proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in Lecture Notes in AI as part of the LNCS/LNAI series. When formatting papers, please refer to the Springer-Verlag web site, and strictly follow the Instructions to LNCS Authors.
Papers are required in PDF format for review purposes, but authors are required to upload editable word-processor files (LaTeX or MS Word) at the end of the review process (see the Springer web site to find out about the files required).
Please note that the required paper length is eight pages in Springer format. Papers longer than this will be subject to a penalty charge. Papers much longer or shorter than the required length may be rejected, at the decision of the organisers.
To ensure high quality, all papers will be thoroughly reviewed by the conference Review Committee. Papers may be rejected without being sent to the reviewers if they are too long or if it is judged that they do not lie sufficiently within the scope of the conference.
The papers will be scheduled for presentation either orally or by poster, depending on their attributes, author preferences and referee recommendations. Please note that poster presentations are regarded as being of equal importance to oral presentations.
All papers for KES2008 must be submitted in electronic form using the PROSE software review system available ... here ...
Extended versions of selected papers will be considered for publication in the KES Journal (International Journal of Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Engineering Systems) published by IOS Press, and other journals listed here.
All oral and poster papers must be presented by one of the authors who must register for the conference and pay the fee. Authors are not encouraged to submit multiple papers, and authors may be restricted to one paper per registration.
By submitting a paper for KES2008 you undertake that you will attend the conference and present the paper if it is accepted. By submitting a paper you also indicate that you accept the KES2008 Terms and Conditions, available by request or on the conference web site, and that you agree to abide by them
