If you are concerned about securing a student registration place we recommend that you pay by credit card. Payment by bank tranfer can take a long time and we must *receive* payment before we can allocate a student place.

- Please ensure that your delegate registration number if you have one, or you name, appears in the 'Payment Details' field of the bank transfer form, or we will not know who the payment relates to when we receive it.
- Please ensure that you pay any charges you bank may charge. If we do not receive the full amount due before the early registration deadline the full late rate may become payable.
- It can take days or weeks for payments by bank transfer to complete. We cannot guarantee registration at the student or early rate until we receive payment.

Fees and Charges

Full Registration

Registration at KES2008 brings attendance at the conference; a paper in the proceedings published by Springer in LNCS/LNAI; and in addition, a year's membership of KES International, including subscription to the KES Journal and discounted rates at future KES events. This represents a great package!

Full registration is an inclusive rate comprising:-

• Attendance at the conference for three days
• Morning and afternoon tea and coffee each day
• Lunch each day
• One ticket for the welcome social event
• One ticket for the conference banquet
• Publication of one paper in the conference proceedings (conforming to the published conditions concerning submission, length and deadlines)
• A copy of the conference proceedings on CD
• Membership of KES International for 2009 including:-
  -- A year's subscription to the KES Journal for 2009
  -- Discounted Registration to the KES2009 conference and other KES events (please see our Terms and Conditions)

Student Registration

Student registration is available to those providing a letter on headed note-paper from their University signed by their Head of Department/School confirming that they are a student on a programme of research.

Student registration is limited to the first 50 registrants. After these are taken students must register at the Full rate. Each student is allowed only one registration at the student rate.

Student registration comprises:-

• Attendance at the conference for three days
• Morning and afternoon tea and coffee each day
• Lunch each day
• One ticket for the welcome social event
• Publication of one paper in the conference proceedings (conforming to the published conditions concerning submission, length and deadlines)
• A copy of the conference proceedings on CD
• Membership of KES International for 2009 including:-
  -- A year's subscription to the KES Journal for 2009
  -- Discounted registration for the KES2009 conference and other KES events (please see our Terms and Conditions)

Extra Charges

There will be additional charges for the following items:-

• A copy of the printed proceedings 190 Euro per three volume set (approx half list price)
• Papers longer than eight pages 100 Euro per page
• Ticket for the conference banquet (included in Full Registration) 75 Euro
• Publication of more than one paper in the proceedings - multiple papers are not encouraged and delegates are restricted to one paper per registration.

KES2008 Doctoral School participation fees:

Supplementary fee for any doctoral school participant who does not register for the KES2008 conference - 100 Euro.

KES Membership

How do you qualify for the KES member rate?

IF
you registered for KES2007, KES-AMSTA-08 or KES-IIMSS-08, attended and presented a paper that was published in the proceedings
OR
you registered for KES2007, KES-AMSTA-08 or KES-IIMSS-08, attended and did not have a paper published in the proceedings
THEN
you qualify for the KES Member rate.

If you did not attend the conference or symposium, or did not present your paper, you do not qualify for the KES Member rate.
